Twitter and CFP
First off - I'm now on Twitter (mcswain27). Sometimes little cool things happen that aren't worth a whole blog post (or i don't have time for a whole blog post). I've been blogging a lot less so it looks like a good segue.

The Many Faces of Piracy
This is a call for papers for a one-day conference centered around the theme of piracy and pirates from a wide variety of disciplines on topics such as, but not necessarily limited to: the Golden age of Piracy, contemporary piracy, Vikings, piracy in Asia, suppression of piracy, piracy and terrorism, pirates and treasure, technological piracy, software pirates and music piracy, the cultural impact of piracy, the invention of the "Hollywood pirate", pirates and drugs, the connections between piracy and democracy, appropriation as piracy in art, pirates and technology at sea, pirates in literature, etc. Proposals may be for individual papers, sessions, or round table discussions. Graduate and advanced undergraduate papers will be considered, and special undergraduate sessions may be added to the program.
